David,
Have you checked with the advertisers to see if the members are actually using the prefered vendors?

Ken,
Not individually. Sean, from Cermark says his "June Special" didn't generate much response.
We can only lead the forum members to water. :-)

Just curious, I talked to a few of them and they are saying the same as what Sean said. I was thnking about adding that feature but I'm not sure of the true value to the members or advertisers.

Ken,
None of them can say they aren't getting their money's worth. :-)
We can post the banners, but it's up to the suppliers to "sell the sizzle" in the advertising folder, to keep the forum members aware of their generous offers.

Hey David,
If my memory and my old expense account serves me correctly, most of the members here don't drink water...
Sorry couldn't resist! I'll get back to work now

Anthony,
I realize that you avoid drinking water, but I don't think you can speak for all of us.
Well, you can speak for Chuck Burke and myself. :-)
Hope all is well with you and your family.
All the best,EDITED: 8 Jul 2006 by DGL

Never mind.
Family are all good
Thanks for asking
PS FYI Chuck can't drink!

Some people may have an interest but not quite ready yet. Or they might make a note and come back when there is a request from a customer.
There are several I may be interested in later on but don't have time to do right now. I have ideas and samples from months ago and still trying to find time to get them on display.

I agree with LogoJohn. I also have more samples than time, but I will get to them.
I requested the samples from Big Sky Woodcrafters and was very impressed. I guess I need to tell them that! I don't have a need today because I have plenty of wood plaques in stock. However, it gave me a great opportunity to run comparisons and I'll be keeping Big Sky on the top of my supplier list for wood plaques. Is their June special still valid? Hmmmm..... it doesn't say "limit one per customer".
I also ordered through Wooden Nickel which I probably wouldn't have done if they weren't listed on the forum. I will order from them again.

Carl,
BSW's June special has been extended through July.
No mention of "one per customer", but I would assume that to be the case.

Great response to the banner so far - better than what I can usually expect from a 1/6-1/8 mag ad - and it actually generates sales, rather than just requests for more information.
Don't (wink wink) let the industry mags catch wind of this!!! hahaha

Sean,
It's too late. Needless to say, it's not a popular feature. :S EDITED: 9 Jul 2006 by DGL
