In other words, can you connect an ethernet cable from a network hub to your printer? If so, you can set your printer up as a network printer and run a much longer distance using a CAT5 cable.</p> <p>I use the ethernet connection on my laser and have a cable that runs from my laser, up the wall, across the ceiling, down the wall, and into my computer. That cable is about 45 feet.
