Mike,

Mixed emotions. I grew up during the era you depict and reveled in the wonderment.

Sadly, those magical (and oh-so-dangerous:) times are just stories I tell my kids. Not to say there are none of those elements left, but they're often pushed aside, these days, by all of life's "improvements."
