Sorry, guys...we've got dibs on "THE one & only" Jeanette.
Time and again, we talk about how much Roy and Randy do to help us...even folks that are NOT their customers. In fact, both of these guys have called me this weekend to help me re-learn stuff about the Xenetech rotary that we've had almost a year. (I'm a slow learner, but that's a much longer story.)
In my book, Jeanette is worth MY weight in gold. Believe me...that's about a gazillion dollars! She really is the glue that holds their organization together, and EC is fortunate to have her.
The cool thing is that when we hire her, she'll instantly be my SECOND boss.
Chuck may have the blue skies, crystal-clear oceans, white sands, and all that stuff.
But WE have chicken farms, dairies, and milk plants all around us. Talk about a fine aroma when you walk outside in the morning! How can a gal turn THAT down???

Like me.
I bought a used laser from one of their customers, after Jeanette posted here that her customer was selling one of his lasers. She, and the rest of the EC gang helped me out over and over during the transaction, including making sure the laser got tested, packed and shipped in good condition. I know they were helping out their customer, but they treated me like I was one of their valued customers and looked after my interests as much as their customer's, even though they didn't make a cent off of me.
She's the "Angel from Arlington". :-)

Dave - What they did for you is just another reason that everyone that knows them (EC family) loves them. There are a lot of good people in our industry that do a great job of customer service but the Engraving Concepts set the standard for excellence!
I really like Jeanettes new name - good work.

I like the name too. I've already got the perfect lapel pin in mind for her.

I don't think the breed of dog you have in your yard will have a bearing on the experiment, but I'm with you in spirit. :P

Peter, what an unusual occurance! The first piece of music I learned to play, that I really liked was House Of The Rising Sun as well. I took lessons from an 'ol Nashville country picker and he was teaching me to play by notes which drove me nuts, when everyone else was strummin' the cords mainly with the quickie bar cords. I'd be plincking along with the notes when he would accompany me with quite an accompanyment of quitar licks he had played over the years. I had an old '62 Strat back then which I sold to his son, which he started a band named The Fragile Lime which got to some national notariety back in the late 60's and cut a few records. I had sold that strat and bought a Lyle 12 string ... man, what a dumb thing to do.
I bought another Strat about 6 years ago to relive that prior one!

A long long time ago, I can still remember how the forum used to make me smile....
And I knew if I had my chance, I could possibly enhance
And maybe they'd be happy for awhile......
But recent threads made me shiver.....with every post that would deliver
Bad news on the website....I couldn't take one more nite
I can't remember if I cried, when I read about the other site...
But something touched me deep in side....... the day.......the forum died......

Apparently, this forum has nine lives.
We've had three meltdowns, including the most recent, and I'll do all in my power to ensure we preserve the rest of those lives.
