Ruben Salcedo was the volunteer, but he showed up a little late. I'm not sure if he took photos or not.

I have the power to change Steve's caption, but isn't it accurate? :-)
I think the idea of a "Class Picture", when the largest number of members are available, is a great idea. After all, some of the members, although at the show, had other obligations that precluded the Beach Party.
As David T. points out, a banner would be a nice touch as well.

I suggest David T. does the banner with his new equipment that he purchased to do the lettering on his window ;-) The only condition is he has to deliver it IN PERSON! No excuses, No Fed-X, No UPS, etc.
I know there were escalators, but were there just stairs??? If not we'll just get them to stop the escalator for our picture (devil)

I agree. Such valuable cargo could only be reliably-delivered by Mr. Takes himself. :-)

...we need people that actually show up...
...with great and better ideas! (devil)

This was a great start! The attendance was great! The comaraderie was great! And the photos were terrific. Better than expected.
Next year, we just need to improve on the planning. Door prizes, games, sponsorship, better food, multiple cameras and photographers, etc.
The location is excellent. Directly across the street from the Convention Center. And the private room is plenty spacious enough for an even larger crowd.
But $6.00 per beer on top of the price of entry? We definitely need better negotiations.

Ed,
I elected not to have a hosted bar, in deference to people who don't consume alcohol. If we had gone with a hosted bar, the "non-drinkers" would have been subsidizing the "drinkers" at a cost of roughly twice the $18 fee.
I'm all for the better food option. Once again, the menu was meant to keep costs down.
If everyone's up to paying more, I have no objection to an open bar, next time around.

Hmmmm...
I find it highly suspect that the huge glare in the class pic just HAPPENED to be directly over the heads of Todd and Cody.
Did someone edit that into the picture?????? (devil)

Could have been the result of your radiant smile.
A quick observation, upon meeting you, is that you're a lover of life and everything about it.
Looking forward to meeting again. Say hello to your sweet wife for us. :-)

That it did, and it was good. It was not meant to be dinner although there was enough for that.
If we want more dinnerish stuff it will increase the bill surely.
All in all it was wonderful and at a very good price as it was.
P.S. I thought it was David that had them turn off the music so we could talk. It turns out it was Wifey, (Deena-Only). We all owe her a thank you, (but please don't tell her I said that). :D

I guess our party was different than others The Beach normally hosts, in that we're there to meet each other and gab. That's the music!
And beautiful music it was. :-)
Someone else suggested we bring the lights up a bit, but I doubt Chuck and Peter would have appreciated that. (devil)

Even the worst feedback is sweet.
It will improve next year's get together.

- no complaints about the "no hosted bar", just the $6.00 price of a beer. I fully expected to pay my own way. You had nothing to do with the beer prices. I just think they got to us a bit. But it's Vegas, so why am I surprised?
- again, the munchies were fine but went quickly...like in the first 30 minutes. I just think we can negotiate something better IF we have something to offer....like an even bigger crowd.
Like I said...it was a great start. BTW, IMHO, let's not call this Beach Party "II". As you know Beach Party I was a DSSI function. Let's keep it that way.

If so who was it? & What happened to them?
I had thought that was me. I did not realize someone else had volunteered to do so. Apparently I have let you down. Sorry. Next year I won't bother.
