If they want to work on the east coast, we are just 5 miles from NYC. If they know engraving I am sure we will be able to fit them in for a while.

Peter,
If they want to schedule NY around XMAS we can use them. I'll try to find some college kids they can bunk with. If they want to go to Philly they can do that at any time and bunk at our house.

Peter,

It's kind of like all 3 of my girls......they each worked for me while in their teens for 1 summer. They all had the same reaction. "Well, I don't know what I want to do when I grow up...... but I do know I don't want to work in the awards industry" :S

Oh well, that just leaves more customers for me :P

... and no fighting for dad's business when I go the the big trophy cup in the sky!

Peter - If Tom and his friend make a swing south we will be more than happy to put them up for as long as they would want to stay. I have two empty bedrooms and bath down stairs. My college age kids would see to it that they would have fun.
Peter one thing you must do is rent the movie - "Fargo" - it will give you and Tom an idea of the local accents. I love the accents from that area -I have some good friends from that part of the US

Thanks Joe.

Some more info re the Boys :

Tom and Michael;

Both have sales skills : Think about the charm of an Aussie salesperson ! We've got the coolest accent
Both have Photography skills, having worked as Photographers for Kathys sisters Photography Company.

Both have international Drivers licences.

Both are quick learners and will take any work.

Both are as funny as !

Michael has worked as a male model ( a tall good looker ) His Uncle is a movie producer in Minneapolos and has made some really big Movies
( will find out which ones if you like )

Tom is a very fit sports jock, Football ,Baseball, Wrestling, Gaelic Football
and devastatingly handsome...( like his Dad ).

They intend to do the Camp America thingy, then head to New York, Go up to Canada, back down the East Coast of the USA, cross the Country, then go up the West Coast. They are over there for 6 months. ( In other words whereever they can or where they may be needed or where they can get accomodation and work )

I'd like to thank those that have offered various facilities so far , should anyone require any assistance by these bright young Aussie guys, please email or PM me with phone numbers or contact details.
I can then pass these on to Tom and Michael who will call or PM or Email to touch base so you can get to know them and tee things up as to where you are etc.

They are totally open to where they go..

Any help would be appreciated and I hope I am not being too presumptious in my request.. :-)

regards
Peter

Peter,

You say the guys will be coming to the West Coast.

Tell them there will be serious consequences, if they don't make arrangements to meet up with myself and my family. :-)

I'm a native Southern Californian and I'll make sure they see all the places of high import.

My Young Man is on his way to the Good ol' USA !

We just saw him off at the Airport. :'-(

I would like to be able to give him some phone numbers of those that are gracious enough to allow him to stay some time.

Tom is eager to contact you.

I am sure he would also be happy to work if it were available
( albeit ,he has not engraved before) but is very useful with computers.and is a very good salesperson. ( and a quick learner)

regards
Peter :-)

Peter,

When Tom finds his way to California, we'll be happy to let him hang out with us and show him the local sights.

Is this Tom's first trip, so far from home?

What an adventure he's embarking on!

Memories that will last a lifetime.

Peter,

I am sure your two "friends" would be more than willing to put the boys up for a day or two....

Might even be cheaper than letting them into the casinos! ;-)

Hello David,
If Tom finds his way out to Ventura, I'm up for another golf outing.

David,

I don't know if Tom plays golf, but I'd be up for another round.

Then again, I haven't been on a course for months, so it's debatable if I play golf. :-)

I'll be playing in a scramble tournament, next weekend, to benefit a local high school's golf team, so we'll see how I'm holding up.

Hi David,

This is his first ever trip alone of any great distance. He has always harboured a desire to go to the USA. I think the trip that Kathy and took along with the photos, video and stories of the warm welcome we received from you guys really got him going.

The fact that we have made so many friends, that he has heard about and we talk so warmly about has made him very confident.

We would dearly love him to catch up with as many of you as possible.

What an adventure...he's only 19 !

I miss him so much already :-(  ( He and Kathy are my best friends)

regards
Peter

This has gotten interesting again, Tom has gone over by himself, I am not sure if he will team up with Michael now ( he might ).
He does play golf, though I dont know how well, he use to play with his Granddad.

Peter

Peter,

If Tom comes our way (which I surely hope he does) I'll treat him as one of my own.

You'll have to ask my kids if that's a good thing. :-)

Peter,

How's Tom doing in the U.S.A. Is he still planning on coming to the West Coast?

David,

He is currently flat out like a lizard drinking at camp Lincoln/Lake Hubert.
Tom is so busy from 6 am until 10 pm with no time to scratch himself.

I am not sure if he will make the West Coast after he leaves the camp, but I am sure he will touch base when he leaves the camp.

regards
Peter
