I remember the thread but cannot remember the search words. It was an orange based stickum remover that was suggested.

On papers I usually find that wetting it with paint thinner and letting it sit for five minutes usually works. [Yes I suggest paint thinner for almost everything but lubricating.]

I have not yet found anything that really works on the clear plastic protection sheet when it starts cracking up from age.

I think it was Harvey, in another thread, who suggested, for those with a heat press, set your sheet stock, (with a "stubborn" mask), in the press, without closing, so the heat might loosen up the adhesive.

Nope, I suggested to lay it on top of the unit if it had a flat surface, but your interpretation is a better one.

My acrylic supplier turned me on to a product called Pro-Sol. It's sold as an automotive pre-cleaner solvent. It removes the old paper and adhesive. I've have good luck with it.

you might try methanol, soak the paper your trying to remove, as it starts tp dry the paper should peel off. the older the acrylic the more applications this could take

This info is off the container. Hope you can find some. My supplier is a plastic fab shop and plastic supplier. He has been using this stuff for a few years with good results. Good Luck...

Bill ... just go to an automotive paint supplier. I used to get it from a jobber whom primarily sold Dupont products. Their product that I used to use was called 'prep sol'.
