Yes, don't you love that dead spot around mayetta! :S

I have cingular, it does most of the time have service. But, they informed us we have only a few more weeks or less, to get new coverage, as we use too many minutes not on their network. We didn't even know there were networks until they told us and now our phone reads off network or on cingular. I would have stayed with them, I even added another phone just 3 months ago!

Well, I think I will do some looking into other companies fast, but also this antenna for houses and maybe look into the satelite for internet and try a internet phone. Several things to check on. :S

You will have to stop by sometime on your way to Onaga!

Aleta,
I have satellite for the internet (Starband) here at home in the mountains. It sure beats the 24K I used to connect at over the phone lines.

Mick,

I was looking at that last night. It might be one way for me to go. The speed is amazing.

Thanks for the info.

G'day all;

We are a retail site, open 6 days a week to the public. When we close I fwd. the store # to my cell phone...most of the time no real emergencies.....til this past Sunday. Spending a beautiful day on the links..approx. 1:50pm hole #6,, cell phone vibrates (never have a ringer on a golf course)... it's the sports editor of our local newspaper. The paper is holding a huge softball tournament and presentation is at 4.. we had all ready done the trophies 6'6", 5'6", 48" 38" and team trophies.
Apparently the first place trophy was injured while being removed from his SUV....what can we do.?? I pondered and told him I would get back to him....(did I mention it was a beautiful day, and I was only 4over par).
The guys I'm playing with are like, you're not going into town are you?? You 've got to take one day off....
So after completing 9 holes I left the foursome to meet the customer at the shop...The rods/nut had pulled right through the bottom of the base...I had it fixed in 20 minutes.... add in the 15 from the golf course and 15 back, I was able to rejoin the group and missed only 3 holes...
The customer was blown away by the fact I left a golf match. He explained to me that he knows he can purchase the product elswhere and for a cheaper price.... he also knows that not to many people would drop everything to handle an emergency. We have solidified another years worth of business with the paper (they spend a nice $figure over the year), plus we are being profiled in the sports section as "people you'd like to know".
The best part of the story---- he came in Monday morning with his own check to pay for the order as he didn't want me to wait for the paper to go through their normal chain of command...
My thought is, customers are to damn difficult to get, when we get em, we take care of em... we are def. not the lowest priced discount joint..we have a beautiful showroom and take pride in our service...finally after 13 years it's beginning to pay off (lol)
Have good one and keep smiling
Rob

Love that story Rob.

Especially the part about being an overnight success (after 13 years). :-)

So, c'mon. What was your final score, after missing three holes?

Thanks Dave;

Hole #10 at Maple Ridge is a par 5 they gave me a 6
#11 par 4 4 (its my fav. hole)
#12 par 3 4 (pond/bunkers)

With the 2 extra strokes my alleged friends are (were) hehe, I wound up with a 82.

Hey Vegas is only 196 days away!!!

Regards

Rob

No dialup involved, it sends upload direct to the satellite. It does download faster than it sends, but both are MUCH faster I get with the phone line hook up.
