Where's Aunt Enna when you need her? ;-)

Thank you Dave,

I'm glad we could "iron" out our differences. Let me know when we've reached a "draw."

This has been "covered" pretty well today.

Mick,

It's true that a day is a fair "span" of time, but we don't know if the people in "London" have had a chance to catch up with their reading.

It just involves a little "suspension" of disbelief.

Actually, Aunt Enna is with Uncle Loren tonight...it's their turn to work the draw bridge over the Miami River....

They like to call it sharing a "tender" moment.....

Uncle Loren and Aunt Enna are back in the "mix."

Hello David,

Indeed they are...despite a bit of "tension" on the job! You know Aunt Enna, she gets a little testy when her "girder" is too tight....

They'll get through it though, as they say, you need more than just love, you need a lot of "Truss""....

>.<

Steve,

All's "weld" that end well.

This conversation is "riveting".

David,

Yes, that's true, but with Uncle Loren and Aunt Enna, it never seems to end...

Apparently she was busted for performing her "catwalk"...she's asked to be tried before a jury of her "piers"...

(is it high tide in here? :-) )

Steve,

Have you noticed how everyone is beginning to "pylon" ?

David,

Seems to me I read that somewhere in a "column"....

Paul,

Had you gotten a quote on repairing the spelling error on the cast sign before you scrapped it? I have never had this done, but I have been told by manufacturers that spelling errors can be ground down and recast. In many cases it is probably less expensive to just buy a new sign, but if this was a large sign, it possibly could have saved some money.

Sorry I'm so late in replying----been very busy!
Yes I did get a quote to repair this and have had plaques with small errors fixed for a reasonable cost. This one was not possible due to the fact that it had columns of names on them and they were laid out to be justified and the change would have made it off center. Also, the background was a custom color and adding paint later was assumed they could not get an exact rematch on the same plaque.

Steve,

I suppose they're trying to "cement" their relationship with the other forum members.

I'd say it's a "concrete" plan.

David,

I don't know if it's a concrete plan, but it's certainly "mortar" their liking...

I guess it stems from Uncle Loren's parents...he was born in the spring so he was a "May son"....

I hope they provided him with a soft, terry cloth "trowel."

Indeed they did...and they were able to use it later when they got the dog "spade".....

Sounds like cause for celebration.

Maybe a "block" party is in order.

Sounds good!

Aunt Enna is wonderful at planning those...I'll "cinder" over.... :-)
