Those things do not stick to my forehead well, nor does the information seep in. Maybe I need to write it on the inside of a nicotine patch and use it.
The last time I spent days trying to find something I was working furiously and the work bench was getting cluttered. I was worried about loosing the sticky. Later I searched the whole area and the computer area, the only two places I had been that day. The next two days I repeated the search, to no avail.
I finally called up Wifey and gave her a list of the exact items for which I needed the dimensions. She put me on hold to measure them, she has a hard time with a ruler marked in 1/32", but usually gets it right.
As I was on hold, I just glanced around, there it was on a clipboard hanging on the wall. Very safe place but not ON the bench. I could not reach her to tell her to forget it, (as I had), because I was on hold. She went through all of the agony of getting the dimensions to within 1/32" and then I said, "I found it." Her reaction to the news was a lot better than mine would have been.

Harvey,
In all seriousness, I have a software program that displays my notes and list of tasks right on my computer desktop for immediate access. It was a $19.95 program that works great. It eliminates the disappearing notes.

Sticky Note, apply directly to the forehead!
After hearing enough of those annoying ads, (Head On) I'd replace the words "sticky note", with handgun. :P

I do not want people to think that Steve is taking pot-shots at me.
Even though he is, it is absolutely fine. We met through the forum and have become fast friends and are in contact 4-5 times a week. It is our style of talking to each other. (Quite a bit of fun trying to outdo each other.)
Do not read into it any dissension.

Yeah. We have so many things "some place safe" that we have never seen again that we had to institute a rule that when ever we put something "some place safe" we have to tell the other spouse where that place is and what we have put there. Works most of the time.

That is a good plan until..... you move it so you have room to do something else and forget to update your spouse as to the NEW location.
I mean, you don't need it YET so it is okay to pick it up, turn around and put it on the table/wall behind you and you KNOW you will remember to put it back in the "official" safe place when you are done.... >.<

If you have not forgot.

It is called Active Desktop Calendar. Here is a link for a free trial. http://www.xemico.com/adc/ I like the fact that it sets right on your desktop. Here is one of their screenshots. It can be customized in many ways. I personally don't have the monthly calendars on the desktop as they are shown. I only have the schedule and task list.
