Are there Earthlink user forums anywhere? Or some forum where a lot of Earthlink users might hang out?

Steve: I'm in Southern California AND I'm an Earthlink customer. I was able to go to ALL of the sites that you referenced.

My neighbor (Albertville, Alabama) was able to get to your site using Earthlink. If I can coax a second favor out of him, I'll send you a traceroute.

Philadelphia, Verizon DSL, all come through. One of them was sort of slow though.

Thanks everyone, it seems to only be with Earthlink, yet not all using Earthlink. I would love to see a trace route form Alabama to see if it goes through the same Earthlink server in Atlanta!

So far, it seems to just be in the southeast but I'm hoping to narrow it down a bit more. It may be my only hope of getting them to find the problem. Seems like if it's not a widespread outage, the engineers in the Ivory tower can't be bothered.....

Of course one solution would be to simply go with a differsent ISP, but that doesn't help anyone else on Earthlink...though their support may change that eventually! :-)

I have confirmed with others using Earthlink DSL that the same problem exists for them. Dial-up is fine and also gets routed though Washington from here. At least I've narrowed it down to just their DSL service in the southeast...now if I could just convince them!
