Anyone have any great ideas on how to mount an old Dentist's drill onto a wood plaque. The drill is about 3/8" in diameter and 5-6 inches long. This for a Dentist who is celebrating 25 years of service. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. They like the looks of the walnut and alder plaques.
Thanks

I would drill and tap the back side of the dental drill, which will allow you to tightly fasten this device to the plaque from the back side with the proper length screws. I would also add a thin bead of adhesive on the back side of the drill for added security.

That, I'd pay to see.

That will work for lightweight items, but heavier objects tend to work their way loose.

If you can do it it is the best option, minus the adhesive. A material called Loctite put on the threads will suffice.
I would also be concerned about time and overall job cost.
