Full Version: lasered promotional products under 1.00

I have a good customer who has a trade show coming up. He's looking for a promotional item that he can give away at the show for under 1.00. I haven't gotten into promotional items yet but figure why pass up this chance to start. I do strictly laser engraving and the customer doesn't want to do pens. He mentioned items like golf wedges or golf balls but is open to any unique ideas. Any ideas would be appreciated.
If I could cut anything out with the laser with their logo on it would be even better.
Thanks,
Tony

Tony,

For under a dollar, considering your own labor and materials, I can't think of anything you could offer.

How many pieces are they looking for?

I'd look into middle-manning an ad specialty item.

I use my scrap 1/32" plastic to make book marks with logos. It's not like I make that many but I sometimes include one with my card with the invoice.

Off the top of my head, I'm thinking acrylic key chains or those wooden "round tuits" - provided you'll be using scrap acrylic or wood that you already have lying around. You could also check out what items Chewbarka might have on sale.

HTH!

I would suggest the aluminum poker chips from Chewbarka. The price is low enough that you can mark them up 3x and still get paid fairly for your laser time. I can do 200 at a time in my laser, and at $120/hour laser time it's only about $0.16 per chip, add that to the cost and you are right at, or under, your target of $1.00.
