The Real Swiss army knives laser engrave with no problem. I do recommend a color fill with Rub-n-Buff or Acrylic Paints since the material is a solid red.

The fake knives I use lower power and 2-3 pass.

David,

I was trying to avoid that since the knives are client-supplied :B

John and Mark....thanks for the info. The knives are the real McCoy, so it sounds like I'm safe. Was going to fill with white (LaserBits Color Fill). Sound good?

Jim,

Those are the best kind to experiment with, providing you have flight clearance from the client. :-)

It should work.

Its been awhile but I think I used one of the paint stick fillers. With narrow and small letters they are quick and easy. They are solid like crayons and you just rub in to fill and wipe off. Johnson plastics has them as others likely do.
