Peter,
I hope Jim Jarecki sees your post. Can't remember his username or I'd "page" him for you.
I can say, from seeing the machine first-hand, that it's built like a tank. As I've said in the past, some would call it overkill, Fred calls it the way a machine should be built.

I know you have at least one Quest machine.
How's that working for you?
Thanks,

David,
The machine is excellent. I wouldn't call it overkill, it is built the way engraving machines should be built. The tech support from the factory is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. My only negative experience was with the distributor who I don't think is in the business anymore. I don't know who the distributor is now and couldn't find that information on the website.
This past winter I hired a graphic designer to handle my large format printing business in California. I sent him to the ARA educational event hosted by Quality One Engravers. This was my designer's first experience with engraving. He still hasn't stopped raving about what great people Fred and Cheryl are and how impressive and helpful their entire staff is.
I currently have 11 mechanical engraving machines from a variety of companies. If I had to replace any of them today it would be with more Quest machines. I might also consider the Gerber Dimension 200. The Gerber is well built, but it is also a lot more expensive than the Quest Engravers.

I'm sure Peter and others, curious about the Quest machines, appreciate your taking time away from your 11 engraving machines, to weigh in with an opinion. :-)

I have the Quest 24 X 24 table and like it alot.
As others have said, it is built like a tank and is very reliable.
The biggest minus about the machine is that it is a dos based program.
His new machines my be Windows based, but I am not sure.
I would definitly by another.
