Where can we get large, nice, custom wood bases for large awards? We need to have a match made for a 12x12 square base that has two tiers to a total height of 8", routed out circle on top. This one in a matte black.
Once upon a time we had Sidmar, but they've retired.
Who does nice bases?

Melissa,
Welcome to our little corner of the engraving world. :-)
Have you heard of Chad Woods? (Company name, not a person.) I've never dealt with them and I don't know if they're still around, but I've seen some pretty nice custom bases, in the past, from people who've dealt with them. I think they're in the 714 area code. Orange County, Brea, CA? <shrug>
Supposed to be pretty reasonably priced.
Other than that, I know Valor Woodcrafters, located in Colorado and listed under our "Links" section does very nice work.

You are correct, Valor has closed their doors.

Mick,
I'm sorry to hear that the field of custom woodworking houses is narrowing.
I have a job coming up that I was going to approach Valor on.
