Steve,
There are a few people in this thread, who don't normally post puns.
That's the "derringer" in opening it up to everyone.

David,
I thought there were those just looking to "muzzle" me...... ;-)
I'm heading over to help Uncle Loren with his new lawn. He tore it up and ran electrical wires beneath, and now has to place new grass on top....
He wants to get it done before the rain sets in and he has to walk across it....he doesn't want to be faced with a "sod off shockin'"....

So far, no "ordnance" against others hopping onboard.

David,
Absolutely, the more the merrier! After all, I see from the stats that there are quite a few "casing" this thread.... and they're all invited to come in...no "jacket" required. :-)
Even Aunt Enna was going to jump in...until Uncle Loren decided to "silencer"....

I was "rifling" through the posts in this thread and see how on "target" this new folder is. I think Dave hit the "bullseye" with this folder. It took a lot of "brass" on his part to make the "case" for a special folder, but he got the "lead" out and did it.

Dave,
It was inevitable, so I didn't need a "gun" to my head.
Quite a few "sharpshooters" here, along with a "sniper" or two.

David,
I've got to go downtown and bail Uncle Loren out...it seems as though he was at the park with his new lawn chairs that had a special woven straps that had been completely waterproofed by out of state prisoners.
Apparently it is against the law in Florida to have them, so Uncle Loren was arrested for having "con sealed webbings"....

Joe,
Some of these puns have a "duel" meaning.
If I had a pen, I'd do a "quick draw" for you.

David,
Maybe it's time to pick a new topic before folks go "ballistic".....
Besides, Uncle Loren tried telling some of these to the cattle on the back 40 ....all he got was a "bull sigh".....

Steve,
I think you're right, I just heard the "two minute warning" that the College football season is in full swing.
If "UCLA" you'll notice it's a very nice day outdoors.

Nice to know that you didn't have any storms "bruin".....
Fortunately here in Florida, it doesn't look like anyone will have to worry about "Hurricanes" this season either......
Sorry I didn't answer "Sooner".....but I was trying to help my brother in Atlanta with his computer problems. Fortunately for him, he has a good "Georgia Tech".

I was wondering where you'd gone.
I had a "hunch" that maybe you were seeing a "Notre Dame."

You change subjects and expect us all to come "running back". I would ask for a refund but it would only be a "quarter back" Besides today I am so busy - I have a "full back" log of things to do. So for "safety" sake I may have to leave you for now. I am have so many "balls" in the air I will have to "touch back" with you later.

Joe,
Maye we should change the title of this folder to the "punt" zone.
You were the person who suggested the topic change. I was just trying to achieve that "goal."

Rght person...wrong "receiver".... :-)
I was out of town for a "conference" for a week and a half. I would have stayed for 2 full weeks but I would have needed 14 changes of clothes and I only had room to "Pac-10"....

Well, you were the "cheerleader" for starting this pun zone. I spend half of my time reading them, and the other "half time" trying to keep up with you guys. It seems like as soon as I try to post, and look again, it's already the "10th and down" further in the thread.

I was "rushing" to get a few puns in, before the good ones were "down" in print.
