Well for a first time, this can of worms has been opened and I will not say anything, but David you know my thoughts on the issue and you you know I have your back. Now that I actually have my laser, it is really interesting to put in action some of the advice that I have picked up on here.
I have played around on some of the other sites and this site is the one that the others try to emulate. Keep up the good work and I am definitely on board.

Thank you for not tipping over the can.
David and I are strong believers that the high road, is the ONLY road.
I thank our members for staying with us on the high road.

Thank you Franklin.
The purpose of my announcement was to give a bit of prior notice of the launch.
Thankfully, for those opposed to a subscription site, there are alternatives.

David,
It is MORE than that. There is truly a sense of family and commaraderie that exists here that I have not found anywhere else......
Just my two cents. Want change? B-)

I have an overdraft on my "advice" account being relatively new to this industry - I will gladly join the subscription format as the site has been so useful to me over the past couple of years.
Count me in, and hopefully, one day, my "advice" account will be in credit with me having a little more to give back too.
Good luck!
Andrew

Andrew - I hear what your saying but, keep in mind, questions that are asked and answered are a learning tool for many, no matter if your new to the trade or an seasoned vet. Question and answers stimulate thought and growth, that is one reason the forum concept has so much value to it.
Your a valuable part of the forum, keep asking questions. I know I will.

Joe,
As you say, it's the dynamic between experienced "instructors" and inquisitive "students" that provides the fuel for the site.
By all means, I urge people to ask their questions, no matter how well-covered, or insignificant they may seem.
Ask a question; get an expedient and comprehensive answer.
That's our cornerstone function.

As I said a while back, you can count me in too. I'm also a member of the WOE forum. I get good information from both forums and don't mind paying for it. I'm looking forward to great things.

Congratulations David. It has been a long time coming and I can't even imagine the amount of work that has gone into putting everything together.
And as you know all-too-well the real work is just beginning.
I am sure that everyone is pulling for your success because your success is our success.
It will be my privledge to offer you my support. The fee seems very resonable.

Thank you Bill.
To use an analogy, I sense that some people are expecting a "County Fair" to "Disney World" transformation, overnight.
This step, is to allow the continuation of what we have here, with the ability to take it further.
It's a simple plan, but one that will be very effective.

I'm not sure what to expect but even if nothing at all changes the charge will be justified.
I have always felt that what you are offering now is valuable enough to deserve a fee.

Congratulations to all involved! The folks at Access appreciate all of the hard work and dedicaiton that has gone into making this site what it is and will continue to support it now and into the future.
I also hope you don't change it too much because some us prefer the County Fair to Disneyland...and always will.

Thank you Diane.
The worst thing we could do, is stray from the formula that's gotten us this far; and that's been serving as a one-stop, quick-response Help Desk for the industry.
In fact, last night, Harvey and I were marveling over the diversity of our members.
I said, "It's amazing! I'm sure if someone had a question about dog grooming, they'd get an answer." :-)EDITED: 25 Apr 2007 by DGL

This site has proven itself as important a resource for us in running our business as any other industry "tool"; probably more so than most. And I enjoy the opportunity to lend a hand when I feel I have something to contribute.
As soon as your "buttons" are activated, we'll be on-board. Unless, of course, your requirements include that our parents actually be married. :O)

I want to mention that the primary reason for our 8:00 pm launch.
That's when our talented administrator, Eric Gillingham, will be available to deal with any technical difficulties we may encounter.
The system has been tested and all is running smoothly, but please contact us if you experience any difficulties.

Bite your tongue!!!
As a official Disneynut I must take exception and umbrage with your comparison.
I must let you know there are a lot of us out here and it is risky to get us riled by saying negative things about Disney.
As a saving grace you did say Disneyland, which is way out there on the other edge of the country, and not DisneyWorld where I make my 2 to 3 times yearly pilgrimage but in the future be very careful.
Since you probably didn't know any better I absolve you of your bad judgement this time but may not be so forgiving if it were to happen again.
Bill ;-)
